Autumn Canopy Wakehurst Place

This was taken last month at Wakehurst Place gardens and woodland near Haywards Heath, West Sussex. The gardens are part of the National Trust but are managed by Kew as their country gardens. I spotted this grand old tree while walking round.

The picture was taken on a handheld with a Sony A700 with a sigma 10-20 wide angle zoom at 20 mm. 3 raw images 2EV spacing for HDR. Outputted in Photomatix using Tone Compression

Topaz Noiseware Pro and Clarity were was used. I also added a touch of Topaz Texture Effects with a low opacity to bring up the leaf colours a little using a mask in the program to remove the effect from the trunk. Also added a vignette.
