Warp Core Stairs

Warp Core Stairs

This shot was taken at the Peter Jones Department Store in Sloane Square. It has this weird looking blue central light tube which reminded me of the Star Trek Warp Core. I decided to make it weirder with a touch of Topaz Glow Electric applied with a layer mask.

The picture was taken handheld with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens at 10 mm.. 3 raw images 2EV spacing. The ISO setting was 500 to give a fast enough shutter speed in the light. The images were opened in Photoshop first and each image saved as tiffs. HDR processing was in Photomatix using Fusion Real Estate for a natural look.

As well as Topaz Glow the picture was enhanced with Topaz adjust, Detail and Denoise. Further editing was done in Photoshop for colour balance and brightness.
