Photographing The Lights Open House

Photographing The Lights Open House

Another shot from this years London Open House taken on the Sunday. My first visit to this building and definitely a highlight of the weekend. This is another view of The Pixel Cloud a light sculpture displayed in the north atrium of Foster and Partners' new office building at One Bishops Square, home to the law firm Allen & Overy. It consists of 624 globes in total which gradually change colour.

The picture was taken handheld with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20 mm lens at 10mm. 3 raw images 2EV spacing for HDR. Outputted in Photomatix using Fusion Real Estate preset for a natural look. The HDR image was blended with different parts of the 0EV image to darken some of the outer parts.
. More detail was brought in using Topaz Clarity and noise reduced using Topaz DeNoise. Finally a clarity effect using Unsharp mask and settings of amount 23 and radius 23. This has the effect of bringing in more punch and contrast.
