Waterloo Underground Travelator
This is the Travelator between the Northern and Bakaloo Lines at Waterloo Underground Station and the modernistic Jubilee Line. The picture was taken handheld with a Sony A700 with a Samyang 8mm fisheye lens at f8. One RAW image was used to create 3 exposures at 2EV for HDR. Photomatix 3 images at 2EV separation were outputted in Photomatix detail enhancer. Photoshop First the minus 2EV layer was copied in, excluded with a black layer mask and then a white brush used to bring it in for some areas of the lights to tone these down. Topaz adjust was used with vibrant presets group with crisp preset with adjustments to colour and saturation to tone these down. General adjustments in levels to enhance. Layers flattened before going on to sharpening. Duplicate layer Noiseware Pro and a little sharpening. Second duplicate layer with mask to apply extra sharpening and contrast with low amount and high radius using Unsharp mask (Clarity Effect) The settings were 40 amount and 40 radius. The crop tool was used for better composition. The burn tool was used to tone down highlights on the picture edges. BEFORE AND AFTER Below are the Before and After images. First the original. Then the tonemapped image and then the final result. Original at 0EV
