1 Finsbury Circus Shapes Lines and Reflections

Still working through my pictures from Open House. This one was taken on the Sunday. This is an Office Building which is old and listed on the outside and very modern and futuristic inside. A seriously cool building for photography. It is one of the more difficult buildings to get into. It is open both days but only for the morning with half hourly tours for 20 people so only 120 per day. Last year I missed out arriving too late. This year I made it my first visit and got in on the 11.00 tour.

The picture was taken handheld with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20 mm lens at 10mm. 3 raw images 2EV spacing for HDR. Outputted in Photomatix using Fusion Natural preset for a more natural look. It was a bright sunny day which produced a good reflection on the floor. To enhance this I used the minus 2 EV RAW image to improve it and then pasted it into the main image using a layer and layer mask. More detail was brought in using Topaz Clarity and noise reduced using Topaz DeNoise. I tried colour and mono but in the end preferred the mono version to enhance the shapes. Conversion was with Topaz B&W Effects 2 with a mild selenium preset.
