Do Robots Dream Of Electric Staircases

Do Robots Dream Of Electric Staircases

Another one from the Science Museum, Kensington London. Photography is allowed in the Museum though as usual with no Tripods and no Flash. This is a shot looking down from the top of one of the two staircases. There is a reflection of the stairs in the glass sides. There is a poster on the stairs for the Museums Exhibition on Robots. I took the shot leaning the camera on the rail and also with 1000 ISO to get a fast enough shutter speed.

The picture was taken with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20 mm lens at 10mm. 3 raw images 2EV spacing processed with Photomatix Fusion Real Estate for a natural look. Noise reduction with Nik Define and more detail with Topaz Clarity. To add more drama I used Topaz Glow Natural Neon Preset at 68% to tone down the full effect. This was applied with a layer mask in Photoshop and removed the effect from the poster of the Robot Exhibition.
