London Riverside Arrow To The Future

London Riverside Arrow To The Future

This shot was taken during my latest London trip last Friday. It was shot in a passage way between modern Tower blocks leading from Tooley Street to the Riverside area next to City Hall and Tower Bridge on the South Bank. The area is called More London Riverside and I thought the writing in the image lifted it a little out of the totally abstract. The image is taken from under the overhang of one building. The top right of the image is the original and the bottom left is a reflection. The camera was angled for a diagonal composition. The area is privately owned with public access with some security guards around though they didn’t bother me. That would probably have been different if I got out a tripod. .

The picture was taken handheld with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20 mm lens at 20mm. 3 raw images 2EV spacing, There were some quite bright areas so I used the minus 2 RAW image to create 2 more images at minus 4 and minus 6EV. Processed with Photomatix Fusion Real Estate for a natural look. Noise reduction with Topaz Denoise and more detail with Topaz Clarity. Some tidy up with the heal and clone tools.
