Office Dominoes Paddington

Office Dominoes Paddington

This building is part of a major redevelopment of Paddington Basin near the Station. It is called the Carmine Building and is a15 storey office building combining sculpted triangular areas of glass and Aluminum. It was built 2007-2010, with the architects: Mossessian & Partners. The development is built around a central canal and pedestrianised area. I took shots of this building from a pavement adjoining a road at the back. As I was doing so a Security Guard came up to me and told me “this was a restricted area for Photography” He didn’t stick around to hear my ripost that I was in a public place and didn’t bother me again even when I went into the area possibly privately owned with public access.

The picture was taken handheld with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20 mm lens at 20mm. 3 raw images 2EV spacing processed with Photomatix Contrast Optimiser for a natural look. Noise reduction with Nik Define and more detail with Topaz Clarity. Some tidy up with the heal and clone tools.
