Blue Hour Cityscape Docklands

Blue Hour Cityscape Docklands

This was taken early in February and I found the viewpoint by accident while looking for somewhere else. This is a view from the east of Canary Wharf looking across Blackwall Basin. I saw this while walking along the A2106 and saw a footbridge much nearer to it. At first glance this looked to be private but there was a path to it from the side of the road bridge and the picture was taken from the pathway on one side of the footbridge. The closest station is Blackwall DLR. I have seen very few shots from this viewpoint which seems strange considering the reflections available

The picture was taken on a Tripod with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20mm lens at 12 mm. 3 raw images 2EV spacing processed with Photomatix Fusion Natural setting for a natural look. A little Noise was removed with Topaz DeNoise. I used a Colour Balance Adjustment layer with a layer mask to reduce the green hue of the Skyscraper lights.
