Atrium Pillars to the Roof

Atrium Pillars to the Roof

This is a shot taken at Whiteleys Shoppping Centre which is in Bayswater west of Paddington. It deserves to be photographed more. It has 2 amazing Atriums. The premises were built in 1911 and the interior rebuilt in 1986.

I took shots for HDR and discovered afterwards that 2 sequences lined up fairly well. I decided to do an HDR Vertorama (vertical panorama)

The pictures were taken handheld with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens at 10 mm.. 3 raw images 2EV spacing. The 2 sets of images were opened in Photoshop first and each image saved as tiffs. HDR processing was in Photomatix using Fusion Real Estate for a natural look. I saved the exact settings used on the first image as a preset to use when processing the 2nd set.

Image blending was done in Photoshop automatically using Photomerge setting.

The picture was enhanced with Topaz adjust and Denoise. Further editing was done in Photoshop for crop, contrast and brightness.
